International Literacy Day is an international observance, celebrated each year on 8 September, to raise awareness of the importance of literacy for individuals as well as for communities as whole.
In a heartfelt celebration of Literacy Day at Soundarya school-CBSE, our Grade 5 students took the stage with a compelling skit that underscored the theme, “Literacy: A Basic Right.” The performance was a powerful reminder of the fundamental importance of access to education and reading for all.
The skit conveyed the message that literacy is not just a privilege but an essential right that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives and contribute to their communities. This Literacy Day celebration served as a call to action, inspiring everyone to work together to ensure that literacy remains a universal and inalienable right for all.
